Press - The Melbourne Weekly - Italian Comfort

Jan Mc Guiness - January 2006

If a 14th Century palazzo overlooking the Grand Canal in Venice or a seaside villa in Calabria is more your thing, you might care to contact the short term rental accommodation company created as an offshort sea change business by former Melbourne couple Leon and Jill Kammer. In 1998, the Kammers and their daughters decided to spend a year in Italy, and stayed on.

Their own sometimes grim rental experiences, plus the contacts they made arranging accommodation for visiting Australian friends and family, inspired a part-time business that now covers five Italian regions and handles 500 properties.

They claim to inspect all properties personally and to post unembellished pictures and descriptions on their websites. You'll find them at http://www.italy-accom.com.
